Using time and material-intensive processes, Fermor's visual work uses language and imagery to reflect their interest in the intentional abstraction of communication and identity. Much of Fermor’s artwork and texts are the result of time spent alone: each offer a small gesture to the experience of solitude or alienation, each a documentation of identity-making.
